I recently ruined the oven fan as it is a LEFT hand thread. It came off in the end!! I replaced the fan myself having bought the new one on line at about £35. REMEMBER turn the electricity off.If you pull the oven out there is an inspection cover at the back which you need to snip round with tin snips. Having done this you can access the fan and with a friend release it. Remove the wires and replace on new fan . Reverse the procedure remember Left hand thread . The inspection cover can be replaced using 3 self tapping screws . Good luck [/u]

there is an inspection cover at the back which you need to snip round with tin snips.

I have never seen an oven, cooker or any other appliance where a cover had to be hacked apart to change a component.
