our neighbour has used what we think to be creosote and it has made our eyes and throats sore and it absolutly stinks inside our house,i have heard of creosote substitute does that smell as bad as real creosote,if not and they have used proper creosote have they committed any offence,thanks.

I always thought that creosote was banned for amateur use some years ago, and just found this

A lot of people still have some creosote which was left over from before the time it was banned. I have got some.
I rather like the smell of creosote.
