Thanks for all the help and info. I did get the 60amp terminal block today so that's another job for tomorrow. Am I correct in saying that if I wanted to extend (as a example) the neutral wire in a piece of 2.5 T/E would it be better to solder them after putting on some heat shrink then cover with self amalgamating tape.
