I know it's matt and not satin, and I don't have a huge amount of experience with paint, and it's relatively cheap...but I didn't think it would be so bad. (Had it mixed at a local decorator's centre, if that makes any difference)

In the photo, left is Crown right is F&B Estate (tester pot). Both two coats. I mostly just ran the front of my nail over the paint, occasionally applying some pressure (not scratching). I also ran my hand over it and the Crowne went a bit white.

It was left over night to dry. Would longer have produced better results?

Has it always been like this, or are we being pushed to the more expensive scrubbable stuff? (though, when I used Dulux Diamond Matt a few year ago, attempts to clean was disappointing)

Thanks

I suspect that in time it will be more resistant to marking.

Years ago I painted a bookcase in a dark green oil based eggshell. For weeks it was prone to marking.
