Our local gas stove supplier has just told us that our lovely gas stove, that cost us over £1400, has to be replaced because the gas valve has siezed internally, and they can't get a new one.
It's a CTB/R3 10mm Multifunctional Gas Safety Valve. Does anyone know if this is available ANYWHERE?
I cant see why a perfectly good stove has to be thrown out, and replaced at huge cost, just because one particular valve isnt in stock. It seems like costly madness. How would I go about finding one?
I'd ask in the Gas forum, but I'm not a fitter and can't post there....
