Hi
I have a summerhouse which I have treated over several years with Cuprinol shed and fence preserver(solvent based). Having used a pressure washer to remove dirt and moss etc. I am left with patches of different shades of colour. If I recoat with the solvent based Cuprinol I will simply end up with the same situation, a bit darker. Can I use Cuprinol colours (probably a green shade) which I believe are water based on top of the old Cuprinol preserver? Will it cover evenly?
Thanks

Is it the cuprinol shades your referring to? If so then it will cover just may take 2 coats and you may need to give an undercoat first as your going from oil based to water based, depends on what they recommend on the tin.
