I have a very simple archway door opening between my living room and dining room it is simply plastered and painted at the moment.

unfortunately, the plaster is breaking off and looks quite untidy.

We are thinking of putting a wooden surround or architrave around the edges but don't know how to deal with the arch at the top of the opening.

Can anyone advise how to go about doing this?

Thanks in advance!!! :D

You would not do that as it would look unsightly, just repair the plaster damage, far easier.

Dependends on the profile you want to use😯...pine not

Form the architrave in sections and run a router around it to put a mould on it. If you are putting timber on the inside then you can use a single piece softened to bend in steam over a water boiler.
