Cut pipe close to wall

I need to cut a 15mm copper pipe that is very close to the wall. I can't get my pipe cutter around it.
I've seen that you can use a hacksaw to cut this. Is that practical and will I then be able to solder a fitting on to this? I'd appreciate any advice you can provide.

A junior hacksaw works fine here—just use a fine blade and tape one end for grip if you're using a bare blade against the wall.

Deburr the inside, sand the outside down to bright copper with wire wool, and keep the cut reasonably square. Clean and dry copper will take solder with zero issues.

I find an angle grinder with a thin blade works great, doesn't distort the pipe.

Perfect, a multitool with a fine blade will make short work of copper pipe, cut half way through then come for the opposite direction for the other half. Then just a quick file, deburr and then a quick rub with 120grit and it'll be ready to go.
