Hi guys, is it possible to cut a piece of the wc pan out? Due to a cowboy builder putting the soil pipe too far away from the wall!!! Just wondering if anyone has tried this, or will it shatter into little pieces???

Yes, bad practice but if no alternative give it a go. The structural integrity is more an issue than it just crumbling.

However it would be much more sensible to extend the soil pipe with a pan connector

Blup

I've done it on my own house and not a problem. Be sure that the pan gets screws to the floor and a neat bead of is applied to the base.

If you are trying it then use a tile cutting blade in an angle grinder and use a water spray, tape the cut and go lightly and take your time with each cut.

All done now guys, managed to cut away a little of the joist and spin the soil connector round a little
