Cylinder Thermostat swap

Hope someone can help. I need to swap as per my picture from the Smith Meter SCT1 to the ES-CTS thermostat. Looking at the picture do the wires go on to the smae numbers as the old one. Any help appreciated

I would have thought Common and 2 (normally open), but I’m not the best at wiring. How is it wired currently?

Both diagrams are shown in the 'call for heat' position.

So with the switchmaster you should presently have wires in 1 & 2 (3 may be vacant or not depending on the system you have)

1 = C at the ES-CTS
2 = 1 at the ES-CTS

If the 3rd wire is used
3 = 2 at the ES-CTS
