Anyone explain how a combination cylinder works? there is no head, it`s gravity hot water, no distance between tank/cylinder.....cheers.xxx

It's the difference between the header tank and the point of exit of the water (e.g. tap) that's important. In nthe cylinder mentioned the only job of the header ius to fill the cylinder. The other job of the header is to provide pressure for the taps etc.
