Hi,

I've just got myself an air compressed frame nailer to build a timber frame building. I'm going to be using 90mm collated nail, but the choice is between D-head Ring, and D-head Plain?

Whats the difference?, and which one's better for framing

Thanks in advance

Hi There,

annular ring nails, I think that's what you are referring to, are tougher to pull out so I suppose it depends how much stick you plan to give the frame.
Personally I use plain nails in my Paslode 1st fix nailer and I've never had anything fall over yet!!!
I only ever buy annular ring when I'm fencing because it has a habit of pulling itself apart with all that wind and rain if you don't.
