Hi all,

We have started to redecorate one of our bedrooms... the plan being to strip the old wallpaper, repaper with lining paper and then paint.

After stripping the old wallpaper, we see what I assume (I could be wrong) is the remains of an old dado rail and a subsequent attempt to plaster over it.

What advice is there to get the best finish possible? I was planning on sanding as much as possible down and filling the gaps with filler?
Any suggestions or advice would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance

Just fill and sand. You may want to put lining paper on those walls.
