HELP!! i am thinking of buying a fourtrack and going to have a look at it
on my own...yes i am female!!! cccan someone suggest some problems that are easily identifiable, what to look for etc....
And am i better buying from a garage or private???

To be completely honest, with a car that old you really need to take someone who knows about cars to look at it.
You could end up getting had over otherwise.

Try a Funtera instead. Cheaper to buy, run and repair. Parts are available everywhere.

Plus, if you are going off road (you ARE going off road, arnt you?), there are only a very small number of off roaders that can go further off road than a Funtera Sport.

fourtrak is far better off road than a frontera, but what you really need to look for is rust. After that check it changes gear ok and that it brakes fine. Engines on them are pretty much bullet proof but they are decidedly agricultural to drive. Plus points is they tow anything pretty much economy is just about 30mpg. A well looked after one will last forever
