We have recently moved into a 1860's house. We have had the damp course re-done and now we have to replace some of the wooden floor boards. We are going to carpet the room and therefore are wondering if it is possible to use hard board or similar? Would this be ok or would it not help the damp situation?

Any advice would help!

And see that you have more than enough airbricks to let the air pass under the house, clear of cobwebs and dust.
