Hi. New here and looking for some advice.
Since moving into our house 4 years ago we have had damp problems on 1 wall. It's in our bedroom under the window.
I don't know the technical terms so bear with me, it a timber framed cavity wall with render on the outside. We fitted an extra Rad in the room onto the wall to see if this would help. It did not.
So I've ordered some thermal plasterboard and was going to overboard the wall, but while removing the Rad and skirting I pulled a section of the plasterboard off to take a look. There is no insulation between the plaster board and the damp proof membrane (not sure if that's the correct term). I'm pretty sure there should be some sort of insulation in the cavity?
Could anyone give me any advice please.
Thanks, Chris
