Hi guys the title may be misleading. If some of you remember i had a water leak upstairs. Some water seeped downstairs resulting in a few yellow damp lines on the drylined ceiling downstairs which had already had one mist coat and a second coat of paint prior to the leak. Ive added the oil based undercoat but it looks very dark and was wondering whether i would need more than one coat of matt emultion over it. Bare in mind the undercoat was pure brilliant white yet doesnt look anything like it, brand is crown btw

The undercoat will be denser, but when a generous coat of emulsion is applied it should cover it ok. You could run the roller over that area first if you want and then start on the ceiling somewhere else.
