I attach a pic from a family member's newly plastered room. As you can see, it's quite high up.

Any views on the cause? My initial thought is that it is penetrating from around the window and gravity is doing the rest.

Any views from the more knowledgeable than me are welcome. Thanks

Hi ya,

You said the room was newly plastered. Plaster actually takes quite a few days to fully dry out as it is full of moisture. As the plaster dry's it will release moisture into the air.

Therefore, maybe it is possible the warm moisture in the air has condensed onto the cold window.

On your newly plastered, newly painted wall I suspect that you have a hat-trick of penetrating damp,
rising damp and the beginning's of condensation.
Whats happening on the wall to the left of the rad?
Is the wall a cavity wall?
Why not post pics of the window sealing, and a larger pic of the outside of the wall?
