Damp patch near window - thoughts apprecaited!

Hi all - just about to decorate this room, and then noticed the damp patch on the wall.

It seems like the guttering outside is causing the problem, but there is no specific area where the water touches the wall.

Would be great if you could take a look at the attached pics - any thoughts as to how to resolve the issue would be more than welcome.

Huge gap in guttering due to poor soil layout, rain will be running straight onto brickwork and splashing off surrounding pipework.
