Hello

I have recently bought a period property and have had a new roof and the whole third floor re-plastered. However this damp patch has appeared over the last few days, so I have put a dehumidifier in the room to see if that helps.

So I am wondering is it condensation because this is an external wall or is it penetrating damp?? It’s only appeared in the last two days!

Any help or advice would be appreciated

If that slope in the corner is because of your roof then your roof is leaking , have you had any heavy rain recently ?

Is that a chimney breast I'm seeing? Have you checked the flashing around it if it is?

Just to clarify you have no water pipes above that damp patch?
