hi everybody my 1st post here i am wanting to damp proof my cellar, it isnt that big so dont want to spend to much money on it just want to use it as storage. this is what i plan to do.
For the floor i would lay some sand on the the concrete slabs then put a Damp-Proof Membrane sheet on top of the sand then i would render onto the Membrane sheet. does this seem ok also what render mix would i use and how think should the render be for the floor?
The brick walls are painted and crumbly so i was going to apply sbr slurry then put about a 20mm render on top of the sbr then i would apply 3 or 4 coats of rbe onto the render then i would put another 30mm render over the rbe.
does this sound ok or should i try get all the paint off any help would be appreciated.
thanks adam
