Damp question.

Hi,
We get a lot of condensation on our north facing master bedroom window (esp. When cold). We have only been here 3 months so unsure what it's like in summer. Any way when the condensation is very bad (v.cold nights), the walls around the window also get slightly damp.

We have got a moisture metre and all other walls in the house read 11%, however the walls around the window read 13-18% is this due to the condensation or shall I start hunting for a problem?

Any advice appreciated.

Could well be condensation, do you have any PERMANENT ventilation in the room?

No permanent ventilation, I'm tempted to retro fit some trickle vents.
