Damp smell remaining after leak fixed

About a year ago I had a leak in the bathroom - this seeped through to the bedroom next door and caused mould under stacked boxes and behind the wardrobe.

The leak was fixed, the carpet pulled up and concrete dried; a new carpet was laid. The carpet fitter assured me that the concrete was dry when they fitted the carpet.

The room still smells of damp/mould.

Could the wardrobe (a wooden one) be 'infected' - ie will just smell permanently?
Do I need to pull the carpet up and do something to the floor?

Any experience/suggestions gratefully receieved.

Well if the leak was from behind the wardrobe and the wall area there. Then it is very much a possibility, if these areas have not been dried and treated.
