Hi
My first post. Thank you for accepting me.
Looking to insulate the bedroom floor before putting new carpet down as old carpet and underlay was damp to touch nearer outside wall part of house. Didn't help that wardrobe was on top flush against wall so circulation was bad but I will be moving that to other side of room where it's warmer
I've removed carpet and is a 60s bungalow.
Solid concrete floor with some sort of level tiles on top (many broken) then 6mm blue underlay and carpet on top. All wooden carpet grips in that corner were rotten with damp.
Any advice to make the floor warmer before laying down new underlay and new carpet?
No leaks and walls skimmed in past feels dry to touch. No radiators close.
Thanks
Andy
