I'm not sure if this is the best part of the forum for this problem?

We brought a house and the walls were white when we then painted them it became clear that there's was water in the wall as the bottom part remained dark.

There was a hole in the roof which is now fixed. It seems that lots of that water has gotten into the wall and it is struggling t. Dry out. We brought a dehumidifier however it doesn't seem to be improving.. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Mat

My guess would be that the loft needs to dry out first before the wall will dry. Did you do anything to aid drying up there? Hopefully some warmer weather may help soon.
