Hello

We are looking for some advice. We have a little old cottage and have had a dorma window fitted. It all seemed to go well but with the wet weather we have noticed that the exposed beams are damp. We have been up on the outside and the flashing along the edge seems to be in the right place with no obvious gaps. Tiles are looking healthy and water tight. However the rafters are still damp.

Can anyone think of what we could check next or how we could solve this dampness?

We are wondering if it could be something to do with the ridge connection to the roof. Would this normally be lead flashing or none at all?

Any help or advice would be gratefully recieved.

Cheers

Hi, try to get some photos uploaded, as there are a number of reasons why you're getting water in. Inside and outside preferably.
