Dash patch

Hi complete diyer here just wondering the best way to patch the wall in the picture.doesnt have to be anything special.i was thinking fill it with a scratch coat then a ocdc.any advice would be appreciated.never mixed any kind of cement etc.

It would look a lot better to cut back to above that lip above the gap, presumably where a canopy was fitted. Then get rid of the bit between the gap and the door. Then you'll have a bigger patch but hopefully less obvious.

Alternatively, just fit another canopy.

What's an OCDC?

Fill it smooth, then fashion a drip over the door. Dash that.
