Dead (maybe) Light Switch

Hello, just moved into a new house and have a question about lighting.

There is a 3 gang switch on the living room wall. One switch (right) has 2-way lighting for the living room, the middle has 2-way lighting for the landing and the 3rd doesn't seem to do anything.

Out of curiosity I had a look in the switch (see photo below). The switch that doesn't seem to do anything is the left most in the picture. All the neutrals seem joined in a block and the left end switch seems to have a live looped in from the middle switch.

Any ideas what left hand switch should be doing?

Good shout Terry. Thinking about it there are "only" wall lights in the living room. This was maybe the light switch for a main light that now been removed.
