Deadly Nightshade

How do you successfully remove deadly nightshade?

It seems to have taken over our garden and I want to get rid of it. Is it a case of finding the root and digging it up or can I stop it some other way?

I just thought there'd be something different I'd have to do.

But I've bought some tree stump & weedkiller as I have a tree to kill so will use it on the nightshade too.
