Our house has condensation problems. Someone has recommended installing a Positive Input Ventilation system in the loft, as well as putting stronger extractors in bathroom and kitchen.

Does anyone have experience of this PIV system - or any tips about thes best way of treating the condensation problem please?

In what rooms does this problem occur.
Have had any insulation installed.
it's normal to have condensation problems in kitchens and bathrooms and extraction fans and ventilation is a good problem solver.
Condensation will ocuur when moist air comes in contact with colder surfaces or colder air, so insulating loft/walls can help prevent this.

The problem occurs mainly in the living room and the spare bedroom. I agree that extractor fans will usually work in the kitchen and bathroom, but wondered what other users experience of condensation in other rooms had been?

There is a massive thread on positive pressure fans in the building forum - search for " lofty "

I think that before you go any further you should identify the source of the water. E.g. are you drying wet clothes, lots of showers, boiling a lot of water.
If you extract air you may be replacing it with cold air?
