Dear God, help me!

I thought the toilet was supposed to be "Bourbon", but dare I say, I won't go into that!

Pebbles? You might find that your walls are made of poured concrete and rendered outside and in, with the aggregate (pebbles) in a dry mix held together by the render. I've done a lot of electrical work recently on just such a construction here ih the UK. A right pain as the aggregate is hard enough to blunt/break drill bits in seconds and it's impossible to cut neat boxes once you've broken through the render!

The suggestion about fixing timber supports is probably your best bet, but you might find it hard to drill and plug the aggregate - if, indeed, that is what you find. You may need to consider a combination of wedges and mortar!
