Looks like Wolseley 'consolodated' them, shame, they were cheap and the service was top notch. Looks like its Chitty Elexpensive Factors for most of my electrical needs in future either that or drive into Birmingham.

Many Electric and Builder Centres have been tipped for closure. Nothing definate, but seems a few more are likely to follow.....

probably cheaper to drive to another city than use city, be sure of one thing if u dont, u will get stiffed.

Yup. I needed a Challenger spare part for a job once. Got a quote from Challenger themselves for the trade price: no discount.

When I went to City, they quote a price much higher....

Electric Centre have been bought out by Edmundsons, but operating under the same name, with same terms etc.
