Well I was digging my footings for the posts to plonk in to but at 20-30cm down there is concrete every where. It comes off the patio so I guess at one stage there may have been a larger patio area.
I've got some 3ins thick paving slabs so would it be possible to lay joists on feet and put them on the paving slabs which will reside on the soil if I were to maybe concrete them in (if needed)?
