Decking posts

Ok might be a little stupid here.

I'm looking at building some decking which will be supported on posts cemented into the ground.

Now im looking for posts and everything i've read says they should be 80mmx80mm.

would 100mmx100mm fence posts do the job? I have some laying around spare.

Yup, that's what I and family members have used.

Obviously if your decking is metres up in the air then you'll need to use something different
