decking sealer

last year i covered my decking with decking seal it now looks a bit drab can i now paint over it with decking paint or will it not stick to it because it has been sealed ?
 
doubt it, but have you looked on the tin of the stuff you intend to buy? why do you say its "drab"? do you really want a coloured deck? Cos, once you've got one, its really hard to get rid of!
 
my decking is underneath some trees and leaves and flowers have stained it ,and it doesnt look to good and im also extending my decking so iwanted the new and old to match
