I've 'made to measure' some shelving out of MDF for my dining room. This is going to be attached to the wall. So far it looks pretty good if I say so myself. I plan to paint it but I'd like to decorate it a bit, giving it a plinth, cornice and other decorative trim made of real wood. I can't seem to find this sort of stuff, other than in a very basic form in B&Q etc. Any idea where I can get it? Thanks

Thanks. I think my initial post was a little confusing, I'm not looking for veneer as I plan to paint the shelves, what I'm looking for is some kind of wooden moulding trim to put along the edges of the shelving to give it a traditional look.

Have you tried your local joinery shop? Normally they can 'router' most of the things you need

Try a timber merchant, my local one has dozens of mouldings.

The large B & Q's have dozens of styles to choose from, as many as my local timber merchant.
