Deep heat smell coming from fuse cupboard

Hi,
I was hoping anyone would be able to help me with this query!
In my downstairs kitchen cupboard where the fuse box is located, there is a smell that can only be described as deep heat coming from that location, there is no fishy smell and I have cleaned the cupboard, yet its still lingering.
Has anyone ever experienced this or indication what it could be.
