Hi guys,
I have a dell inspiron 6400 laptop screen problem, the screen was intermittently flickering before going black. The problem has got worse and the screen is now black, except for a flash of the dell lego on start up.
By using a torch I can see my desktop icons and the laptop works ok with a remote monitor.
This led me down the road of replacing the inverter which I have done, but to no effect. This leads me to believe it could be a mobo problem rather than the screen. What do you guys think?
Edit - My logic is now telling me it must be the screen, because if it was a mobo problem the laptop would not work on a remote monitor. Does anyone agree? does that make sense?
