Morning everyone - really hope someone can help, I'm going round in circles!!

Planning an extension and whatever the details, the outbuildings need to come down first.

Problem is that the store seems to be a self standing structure, that is also supporting the garage? One wall of the store is integrated into one side of the garage wall (no proper joints, just a straight butt up, dodgy...). Other side of the garage wall is ?shared with neighbours garage wall, which leads to their kitchen the other side and another room at the end of their garage. We're still toying with retaining the garage itself, building along side it, but have a feeling that if we start removing the store then the garage may follow and *uh oh* next doors too!

Presumably we can just replace the section of garage wall that is the store to make it sound?
Is it likely to be a nightmare to build onto/next to this after for our extension? Deep foundations next to a possibly dodgy garage structure sounds like a recipe for disaster to me...
It's all complicated by the fact that the house floor is about 3 foot higher than the outbuildings and garage :( and we are a foot higher than next door!

We're starting to think that this may turn into a giant can of worms / hugely expensive and maybe we should just forget it!

Any sagely wisdom would be much appreciated...

Do we really need a structural engineer to come work this all out for us?!

Will get pics uploaded asap

You can prop a garage roof and take down one wall or two and the others will stay up
