Hello I am going to build a plasterboard wall extension (see diagram) to a solid wall and need to know how much depth to leave for a plasterer to do a skim and blend in the plaster to the existing solid wall. Can anyone help please?

2-3mm on top of the 12.5mm plasterboard - just sand/polish until it blends in.

that is assuming the existing is uniform and level.
