DEWALT DW707 Won't Slide?

Folks,

I've today tried to use my 707 after getting it back from my brother and it requires a real effort to make it slide which of course is useless. i'm thinking he's been lifting it by its handle and bent the rails.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with a DW slider and any idea how much it will cost to put right.

Is it sticking at one point or struggling to slide the whole length?

It's dawned on me there's a slide lock on it!!, shows how often I've used it
