Did I read Honeywell have a bad batch of CM9xxx

I am sure I read somewhere that there was a faulty batch of CM9's. I believe the thread went something along the lines that always buy from a reputable dealer as the bad batches were being punted out on ebay. Can anyone confirm. Fault is the Relay keeps getting stuck open and occasionally goes into air-con mode.
