over 12 months i've bought 5 tins of Ronseal fence life medium oak

done all the fence's in the front and ran out on the last pannel at the back :(

so went out a picked up 2 more tins (might as well paint the new shed same colour as the fence)

the 2 new tins are a total different color to what it says on the tin
and are no where near a match to the other fence pannels painted in medium oak or the sticker on the tin

wondering who to take this up with the store or ronseal ?

both tins are open to see if there both the same

anybody had problems like this before ?

Assuming this is not because the tins haven't been stirred properly, you need to take them back to the shop where you bought them, as your contract is with the retailer. Then it's up to the retailer to complain to his own supplier. The fact that you've opened both tins shouldn't affect your case: you couldn't have discovered the wrong colour without opening them.

It might be an idea to paint a bit of scrap timber and take that with you to support the point you're making.

If the shop understands good business, they'll take the tins back without argument. If only everyone understood good business, though ...

Then you'll face the problem of opening all the other tins of medium oak in the shop, to find two that are the correct colour.

guy in the diy store was great, took them back no problem

even opened a few more tins to see whats what

he agreed it looked nothing like it did on the tin or on the website
i went to B&Q and their fencelife was the same

in B&Q their were 2 other people ranting about the ronseal fencelife
colours so we joined in lol
