different makes alarms - interlink

Hi,
Our house is fitted with interlinked BRK mains-power battery backed-up smoke alarms (BRK 660MBX). Now I need to replace one of them, but it turns out that make of alarms is no longer available. If I replace one of the alarms with similar part (kidde firex KF20) will I have problems with the interlink signal between two different makes?

The Interlink protocol etc is manufacturer specific. So you would need to change them all.
However, if you look at the others you will probably find they are out of date anyway. There will be a label on the side.

PS Buy AICO. Don’t think of getting anything else.
