Hello (again),

Can someone [please help by explaining the differences between the two types of Plastic Small bore pie:-

The (white) PEX stuff and
the (grey) Polybutylene.

What are the reletaive merits / advantages / disadvantages etc.

I have not used Plastic Supply pipe before but I'm considering using it on a narrowboat rather than a fixed domestic installation.

Hoping that you can help ?

Regards,

Andy

Not a lot of difference. PEX tends to be stiffer and not as easy to feed under floors etc but either does a job.

You will find many differing views on plastic piping on here. Take your pick but i install heating systems and use it often where it won't be seen.
