off - not used

on - yellow

com - red

N - blue

The earth wire is not used and should be made safe - use a terminal block.

hi d-hailsham, thanks for your last help on this wiring thing. i know its been a while since you helped out on this one but to be honest i have not had time to ask advice again.
it seems that when the timer is set to turn off the heating and hot water,by its clock,it blows the 3amp fuse which i think protects the programer ( honeywell st699 ) .this seems to occur every time it reaches that time on the programmer for it to go off. any ideas????
