I have been asked to fit some LED downlighters in a cabinet (made from MDF)

The customer has already purchased these fittings

The LED's that came with it were not dimmable. Customer wants the lights to be dimmable, so I thought these would do the trick.

However reading the data sheet for the actual fittings they are not suitable for mounting in flammable materials. This is going into MDF.

So I would appreciate advice on where to get MR8 style dimmable LED downlights that can be mounted in MDF, and they have to be warm white.

Many thanks

according to the website they are dimmable with the correct driver

"•Dimmable with AU-LEDD16CC driver and AU-DSPLED dimmer unit"

The fittings that you have linked to are not suitable for mounting on flammable surfaces when they are fitted with their intended lamp (35watt halogen).

As LEDs do not generate any heat to speak of then (my opinion) is that you should be OK, but I would get a definitive answer from Aurora to cover your RSE.

PS I didnt know that you could get MR8 LEDs, but what do I know?

PPS I don't see the point of a dimmer given the paltry light output of a LED lamp that small.
