wiring guide

This led is going into a display case

The power is at the switch i.e neutral is at switch. this goes to a switch live and neutral at the wall light, which I am removing and will use to power led

i thought the switch live and neutral would go into the primary side of the transformer.
I don't understand the wiring diagram, common is going to the transformer.

how's it done please?

The diagram shows how to use a 2 way switch with a 0-10v dimmer unit.

If you won't be using a dimmer, then just connect the transformer L&N to the supply.

Hi

You need a three core cable between the dimmer and the transformer.

Have a look at this which explains everything better.

If your only neutral is at the switch, then you'll need four cores back to the transformer as you'll need to send your neutral there as well.

Oh.

I only have a switch live a neutral where I want the LED to go.
Is there any way of dimming this just with a switch live and neutral

Thanks

Afraid not... You definitely need 3C+E between the dimmer and transformer.
