Dimmer on mixed halogen + flouresecent

In my bathroom I have 2 downlights, plus one fluorescent square lamp. I want to put in a dimming pullcord. I know the fluorescent won't work properly without sufficient voltage, but will it cause any problems?

It's fine if just the downlighters come on.

Best case is that it won't work.

Worsty case is it will flicker, flash on and off, break the dimmer.

If you don't want it, remove it.
