Hi. I am replacing an old dimmer switch with a new one and just wanted to check the wiring. Their are two brown live wires, two blue neutrals (joined on a terminal) and an earth. The switch only controls one light and the light is not switched from any other switch. The current wiring is shown below (one live in C and one in L1).
Thanks for your help.

Andy

They are not two lives, they are one live and one switched wire. The new dimmer needs connecting in exactly the same way.

Aside from the C and L1 connections, for this Crabtree single dimmer does it really matter whether the switch live is in C or L1?
